Welcome!

Everyone has a story to tell...

And you never know where those stories will take you. I've been all around the world, back to places I never could have anticipated -- like 1932 Gee's Bend, Alabama. And I've explored contemporary and future times, too. I love to discover the stories that make my heart hammer, whether they arrive in poetry or prose. My latest adventure is a poetic journey through loss and love.

Come, let me tell you a story...

Text for free personalization:
"In a world where change is the only constant, there is always something to grieve: lost love, lost time, lost dreams. Rooted in history, nature and art, THE COLOR OF LOST ROOMS is a haunting collection of brave, vulnerable and sometimes philosophical poems. The collection journeys through passion and loss to illuminate the many rooms we occupy, inviting the reader to discover ways love defines the human experience - and how to survive it."

"a museum of art, history, literature, and the long treasured artifacts of the human heart".
- First Draft Magazine

"beautiful and sad and humorous and insightful and, perhaps above all, genuine."
-- Birmingham Magazine
